Steve Sell - Winner of 12 weeks PT

A once in lifetime chance and some hard work...

PT for beginners

Steve was the lucky winner of 12 weeks free coaching back in August 2007.

He won because out of all the entrants he had the clearest goal and was serious about making big changes to his mind, body and lifestyle.

After meeting Steve for an initial discussion, we were able to plan a clear goal together and discuss the best way to acheive it.

Steve's goal was to get to 21% bodyfat, intially he was 26%, by his 50th birthday in December. This meant losing 12 pounds of fat.

I took his goal set it as a target over the 12 weeks he would spend with me - this meant a very achievable target of losing 1 pound of fat each week.

Together, through consistent hard work and determination, we surpassed that goal within half that time and now Steve is well on his way to hiting his new goal of 18% bodyfat by his 50th birthday.

Steve's side of the story...

I had been a regular gym goer for some years. Always, I would get close to my fitness goals and then things would go off track, either I would sustain an injury or reach a plateau and not be able to break through.

For 12 weeks in late 2007, I had the privilege of having Brian train me twice a week. The difference his dedication and expertise made to my training was profound.

Within a short time I was making progress like never before. The targets I had set were reached and then surpassed. I reached all my goals and then went on and set new ones.

Where as before I had sustained injuries training, Brian was there to advise and modify my programme so I stayed injury free. When I started to plateau Brian was there to encourage and if needed, drive me on.

His deep knowledge of his subject meant that training never became boring or predictable and was in fact always FUN (a new concept for me).

Brian's imagination, drive and belief in me were exactly matched to the task. He was very much the catalyst of my achievements, never let me down in training and more importantly he never allowed me to let myself down.

He is a truly dedicated and inspiring professional and will always have my thanks for the time he gave me.
